Music and Liturgy

Music Ministry is made up of volunteers who desire to enhance the liturgical life of the parish through service as instrumentalists and singers. Under the administration and direction of Mr. Joseph Gaunt, members of each group practice and prepare to be leaders of prayer through song.

General Choir Information

Liturgical Choir rehearses on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:15 and usually sings the 10:00am Mass on Sunday. Members are from High School and up.

Contemporary Choir rehearses on Wednesday from 7:30 to 9:00pm and usually sings every other 5:00pm Mass on Saturday. Members are from High School and up. Contemporary Choir News

Schola Cantorum rehearses from 8:30 to 10:30pm on Thursday and usually sings once a month at various Masses. Members are High School and up. Please contact the director of Music and Liturgy to schedule an audition.

Adult Bell Choir rehearses on Sunday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00pm and plays for major holidays and special events. Members are High School and up.

Resurrection Choir sings for all funerals and meets a half hour prior to each funeral. Please contact the parish office at 266-9718 ext. 101 to be placed on the "call" list.

Third Grade and Junior Choirs (grades 4-8) rehearse at lunch time and alternate singing every other 5:00pm Mass on Saturday as well as weekly school masses. Both choirs are parochial school.

Junior Bell Choirs are 7th and 8th graders from our parochial school. Rehearsal is usually before school. We play school masses, major holidays, and special events.

Cantors are fully initiated (baptism, eucharist, confirmation) members of our parish who lead the assembly in sung prayer, particually the responsorial psalm after the first reading. An audition is required. Please contact Mr. Gaunt.

Liturgical Ensemble practices Wednesday evenings from 6:15 to 7:15 and generally plays one 10:00am mass a month as well as special events throughout the year.
